Dear All,
Looks like something is broken in the new kernel ( Post changes to the bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/663642 ), In the
earlier versions of the kernel atleast the S- Video used to work ( tested
in Maveric 2.6.35.6-l5 Regular/Non netbook edition ).
Now If I pass omapfb.mode=tv:pal omapfb.default_disp=tv .. the xorg exits
with with /dev/fb0 no such file or directory ( and ls -l on /dev/fb*
confirms there is no files by that name ),
I tried omapfb.mode=lcd:640x480 ( and other resolutions
), the X server starts but No out put on the screen / LCD tv thorugh S
Video.
The DVI port with default options ( and tried with different resolutions as
well ) connected through HDMI cable to the TV No output on the display in
any Distributions/OS/Kernel I have tried sofar.
I understand that Fixing DVI might take some time because there is a HW
change in Beagel Board XM A3, However I I would really appreciate if some
one point me how to get atleast S Video output till HDMI starts working
again.
