Hi Paul, Welcome.
Where to get the source for this and that all depends on the package in question and some context. For instance if you want say the source to something out of like the linaro user platform ppa, then you got to https://launchpad.net/~linaro-user-platforms, click on the user platforms staging ppa and then click on package details and select the package in question. For projects like linaro-user-platforms, you'll notice in launchpad there's a link to code in the top tab. I'm sure you've see there's git.linaro.org .... For the average package installed on a linaro/ubuntu system, you'll notice there's a command called apt-get source ... I'm very lightly touching on what is a deep topic but I suspect this might just be enough to get you started. Also the packaging guide is probably going to be something of interest to you : https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide Regards, Tom "We want great men who, when fortune frowns will not be discouraged." - Colonel Henry Knox w) tom.gall att linaro.org w) tom_gall att vnet.ibm.com h) tom_gall att mac.com On Dec 14, 2010, at 10:49 PM, Paul Li wrote: > Hi Jammy, > Thank you for your reply and I can get release image from : > http://releases.linaro.org/platform/, but where can I get theMonthly source > tree tarballs?
