I deselected CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL using menuconfig, which changed
the .config file like...

-CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL=y
+# CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL is not set
-CONFIG_THUMB2_AVOID_R_ARM_THM_JUMP11=y
-CONFIG_ARM_ASM_UNIFIED=y
+CONFIG_OABI_COMPAT=y
+# CONFIG_KPROBES is not set
+CONFIG_HAVE_KPROBES=y
+CONFIG_HAVE_KRETPROBES=y
+CONFIG_HAVE_FUNCTION_GRAPH_TRACER=y
