Some patches went in near the end of April to fix this problem. The latest snapshot from http://snapshots.linaro.org/precise/hwpacks/overo/ works for me on both OMAP35xx and AM/DM37xx based Overos. Note, the builds now use MLO built as an SPL from the U-boot code base.
