I've been using Applix for about 6 months, and I really like it.
It is similar to all of the other Works packages, with word processing,
spreadsheet, email, drawing/presentation and an application builder.
I was very impressed that it included real-time data acquisition, though
this is to be expected, as Applix got its start in the financial industries.

With the price from Red Hat in the $100 range, it is definately worth
evaluating.

I still use LaTeX for all of my correspondance, and SGML-Tools for 
Documentation and medium-to-large websites.
