sound card

[Pixel Fairy]

im looking for a decent easy sound card for linux mostly to play CDs,
games, and animations. i use to have a sound blaster 16 and was happy with
it until it died. any recommendations? i looked at the current sound
blaster 16 wave, but cd player part did not work (maybe a differnt audio
cable, it looked different) and id rather not get into plug and play or
similar complications if i dont have to.
