for the reply/on/off.list thing:
cant you inllude a reply-to in the header with the listserver?

----------

licensing stuff:
information cannot be owned.

hm, i think copy right/left discussion is superfluous to some point.
the thing is that in almost all software which is used in
handling,displaying,structuring and modifying data/infomration, no
mechanisms are included to effectively and transparantly transclude
'outside' data (originated or 'owned' by someone other than oneself) so
original ownership is/can be 'easily' maintained and backtraced...

this applies much the same to www/hypertext as much as to audio and
video media(nsippets). or other else ..
the datatypes of an audio-cd, mp3, qt, html-page, what-have-you do not
in ANY WAY provide a means to (completely or partly) non-destructively
comprise themselves of complete or portions of external documents.
with audio, for example , when you re using a sample, the sample could
be defined as 'taken from this or that cd/webpage' and all the
processing you do on it is saved separately and only rendered on
'consumption' and the original sample is still there.
in html and writing in general, you, as the author can take consciously
take care of that (can also include refs your cd booklet) but you can as
well just discard all references and hope you transmutated it
(base-data) to sufficient non-recognizability....

?

naja. just aimless typing .. sory.
.so
