You can do that with the ImageMagick "import" command using
the -window option.  "man import" if you've got it installed,
if not, http://www.wizards.dupont.com/cristy/www/tools.html
will get you to the user docs, and opportunity to see what
other commands are offered in the ImageMagick package.
