This sucks. This *really* sucks. But fortunately, someone is working on an
open source/free software replacement for Csound -- Paul Barton-Davis's
Quasimodo project, <http://www.op.net/~pbd/quasimodo/>.

It is a reimplementation of the Csound language -- all your orcs and scos
will be useable with it.  Paul recently posted a call for developers
(<http://www.op.net/~pbd/quasimodo/copycall.txt>), and I believe the FSF
will be offering support; what is really needed are people familiar with
Csound to contribute free opcodes for Quasimodo (details at above URL), so
if you know any Csound hackers, please tell them about this.
