Also, i see an other problem about the Source/Data distinction;
in Video, the source is the whole set of the shooted material.
(and in music, it can be the whole set of different takes done).

Not very easy to define.

I have another problem: if you relate to material with a "meaning",
the song text or a book, we get in big troubles about the redistribution
of modified songs.

I write a song, where i express some ideas ("i hate spaghetti", for example).
Than, somebody change the text, and express a new idea ("i love spaghetti").
Than we got a song that still have my name on it, that say that i love spaghetti.

Ok, this is silly; le'ts change "spaghetti" in "fascism"; whow, now i
have a song with my name on it saying something strong, that i cannot
agree on.

European laws give the authors of any artistic work moral rights to
protect them against this kind of stuff; for example, you can prevent
your music to be used in a public meeting of a party that you don't
like, to protect the integrity of your image, or for your own moral
reasons.

As an author, i would like to distribute things that can be reused by
others, but i think i cannot give up this kind of moral rights ...

By the way, it is true that these moral rights are not reconized to
software developers, also with Open Source licences; i am sure that
many software developers would love to stop the use of their works in
military applications, for example ...
