Just a quick note: If anyone's interested, I wrote the entire text of
The Book Of Linux Music & Sound in vi. All the copy editing was done in
Turd97 though, which led me to two conclusions: 1) I would NEVER try to
write anything of any real length in Word. What a f*cking hog. 2) vi
rules, it's a real text editor, as opposed to being a word processor. I
suppose emacs is equally great, but I learned vi first and I've become
something of a power-user with it.
Jon, can you tell us something more about your writing ?
