New work, new tools

I'm curious about what kind of work everyone's doing lately. Also
wondering if anyone's tried out any new tools, what software you've
been using. I'm finally committing to Ogg for audio, losing MP3.

It'd be nice to get some new contributions for the tools and
extensions: http://linart.net/studio/

But that raises the question of what kind of free software extensions
are useful to artists. Anyone find these things useful? What sort of
things would you like to see?
