Just as a heads’ up, American Appliance in Waltham was 2-3 weeks out on availability for house calls, emergent or otherwise, thanks in part I am sure to Sara Mattes’ endorsements!
Just as an alternative suggestion, Same Day Appliance in Woburn has been terrific for us, and they were 2-3 days out, but they always do an extensive telephone discussion before dispatch, and both times I have called they have walked me through what to do and I’ve been able to sort things without a house call. They are kind and patient and I am sure they lose money on these calls, but it has worked out in maintaining our ancient appliances. Nancy Marshall
