Having seen the hawk with Dan, and looking at these pictures, it looked more like the sharp-shinned one most because it was smaller - maybe 11 inches head to tail feather end? The Cooper’s hawks I’ve seen, even the juvenile ones, are more like 15 or 16 inches. Also, the breast was dappled and not striped.
