Hello, We are a family who will be new to Lincoln. Although we have purchased a home, we have not yet moved to town as we have two children, in elementary and middle school, in our current town. We are considering transitioning them to Lincoln in January 2022.
I was hoping to be able to connect with other Lincoln parents to learn a bit more about the local community — school experience, activities, groups, sports and events for kids. Are there locations in town where many families go for playground use, sports, informal field use, hikes, walks? We are coming from a town with a very vibrant, active community of families. Our children are used to biking and walking to many places so I am hoping there are some bikeable and walkable locations in Lincoln. I am also hoping to hear from parents about the transition to high school after k-8. Whether public or private. Any feedback or input is much appreciated.
