This year, Lincoln Public School District has been able to offer a “Test-and-Stay” program through a partnership with the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Department of Public Health as an alternative to out-of-school quarantine for COVID-19 exposure. If a participating student is identified as a close contact in school and has no COVID-19 symptoms, they can remain in school and are tested daily with a rapid antigen test for seven days from exposure.
Through December 9th, 1,643 student learning days, when students would have otherwise had to quarantine at home, have been saved by this program. We are very appreciative of the 96% of Lincoln School PK-8 families who have chosen to participate in the testing program, including Test and Stay and weekly pool testing.
