With the generous support of our donors, the METCO Coordinating Committee (MCC) provides support for enriching experiences that build authentic and lasting relationships for all of our students and families. Please consider donating and thank you in advance for your support.
In September 1966, six towns in Massachusetts, including Lincoln, inaugurated METCO, a school integration program that enrolls Boston students in grades K-10 in participating suburban public schools to reduce racial isolation. Today, the METCO program continues in Lincoln and we still believe that being part of a more diverse school community is critical for our children. We must actively work together to build a community in which all students and families experience a deep sense of belonging and recognize, accept, and celebrate each other's identities. The Lincoln METCO program has a modest budget for administrative operations, but does not fund extracurricular activities within the community. $50 funds transportation for a caregiver to attend an event $100 helps fund an after school enrichment activity for Boston and Lincoln students $325 sends a Boston student to attend the Lincoln Summer Day Camp for a week $400 hires a bus to travel between Lincoln and Boston MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO: Lincoln MCC PO BOX 393 Lincoln, MA 01773 DONATE ONLINE AT: https://paypal.me/lincolnmcc The MCC is a 501(c)(3) organization (Tax ID: 27-0726889).
