We are working with a very talented 12 year old South Sudanese girl. She goes to the Salem schools and this summer SSEF is sending her to Andover. It is a long story but many people in lincoln helped this family get an place to live in Salem. Amazing!! This young lady plays and finds tremendous peace playing the violin. She wrote a beautiful essay about how English, art and music all intersect. And she is 12!! She plays the violin at school and they give her one for the school year. She really wants to play while at Andover for five weeks. Does anyone have a violin they would like to donate to this young lady? She is be a star one day! Please let me know.
