I would say Milk Snake. If you look closely, there is NO rattle and he has a nice round head which usually means no poison sacs and non-venomous. He’s beautiful!

I hope I’m wrong because they are highly venomous. I believe it’s living in a hollowed out tree trunk. I’d also like suggestions about whom to call to do a catch and release if it comes to that.
