We have switched to electric when we moved to Lincoln, and we still love it
after 10 years with no gas. We cook every meal we have, and we bake tons.

I agree there are stoves and stoves, we had entry level ones and high- end
ones, and they all worked very well. We tried and used 6 so far. ( we had
more than one kitchen in both our homes)

Our first electric range was quite old and had the round coils. It was very
beautiful but we replaced it because the clock would buzz every minute (
not kidding) and after a month we were like, hey, a minute has passed!

We couldn’t fix it or find a replacement clock because of its age. So we
parted with it.

We solved the power outage problem by having our electrician install an
outdoor outlet for our generator all the way to our electrical panel. There
we have the furnace, the stove, the fridge and freezer. If we lose power,
we switch to generator mode in the panel.

But here in Groton we have never lost power. It’s quite amazing.

All that said, I’m not sure how this discussion started. Just my two cents,
and certainly it all boils down to a matter of taste.

I do love reading reviews because they always teach us a whole lot. There
is however a tendency to review more often when we are dissatisfied.
