The Foundation for Educators at Lincoln-Sudbury, or FELS, is a non-profit founded in the early 2000's by Lincolnite Peter von Mertens, to support teachers and staff at Lincoln-Sudbury in pursuing their personal passions and interests. We provide grants that fully or partially fund a wide array of opportunities that include travel, education, refreshment and enrichment locally and well beyond.
Our mission intentionally does not tie our grant funding to the applicant's individual profession within LSRHS. Our motto, *Inspired Teachers Inspire Students, *pretty much says it all. We are seeking new members for our Board. We welcome parents of middle schoolers, current LSRHS parents, and parents of LSRHS alumni. We meet 7-8 times each year. Serving on the FELS Board provides a unique lens into Lincoln-Sudbury. It offers an opportunity to know grant recipients more deeply than day-to-day encounters as a parent and allows one to really understand the positive value of what our grants provide, both to the applicant and more broadly to the student experience at Lincoln-Sudbury. Interested individuals are welcome to contact us with questions at [email protected].
