It is with that energy that I post this announcement: This is the 2nd to last concert that our founder and director, Nick Page, will lead the Mystic CHorale. He is retiring after like 34 years so we are pulling out all the stops, and it promises to be an Epic event - kinda like a lunar eclipse ! This concert is sure to be both exhilarating and stirring as we begin to bid him farewell. The program begins with a rousing *Glory Glory* and closes with a triumphant *Pass Me Not*. Wonder and joy fill the concert from Joseph Shabalala’s *Moon is Walking* to Nick’s powerful arrangement of Linda Hirschhorn’s setting of *Lo V’Chayil* (Not By Might, But With Love), with lift-us-to-the-sky percussion. Drums are also central to a rousing South African *Haleluya*. Fittingly, the chorus will sing *A Parting Glass*, a Celtic song of farewell.
