Good Morning People of Lincoln, As Spring passes into Summer, it is time to reflect on the 2022 Garlic Mustard Season. To date, 460 bags of garlic mustard were collected from the DPW yard and brought to the invasive plant dump. These bags will by consolidated into one large pile and covered with plastic to compost over the course of the Summer. This process helps to contain and destroy any of the viable garlic mustard seed. If you still have bags of garlic mustard or are looking to pull some lingering plants before they go to seed, Friday June 10th will be the deadline for garlic mustard bag collection at the DPW yard off of Lewis Street. If you have any questions or want to provide feedback, feel free to email me at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> . Thank you to everyone who helped pull garlic mustard throughout town this season, it is truly inspiring to see a community working together.
