Hello Lincoln,

I am working to support a Ukrainian family with young children from my
ancestral hometown near Kyiv. When Russia invaded, I found them via Airbnb,
like so many others. Since then, part of the family has fled to safety in
Sweden and part remained in Ukraine to distribute food whenever possible, and
to help transport evacuees to the Polish border via personal car and paid
buses. I have had the privilege of helping them financially, logistically and
emotionally, putting them in touch with new friends (former strangers) in
Poland and Sweden as they have moved through this crisis.

They are looking to immigrate to Canada where they can hopefully reunite and
find work and a home. While we have found official information regarding the
immigration process, they are anxious to speak to other Ukrainians who have
made the move to Canada, if possible.

Please email me directly if you have any contacts who might be helpful in this
pursuit, most importantly Ukrainian contacts in Canada. Also, if you would like
to make a financial contribution of any amount to their ongoing sustenance and
community outreach, that would be welcome. Much of the financial support I have
contributed has gone to food distribution and car/bus fuel in Ukraine, while
some has gone to haircuts and new clothes for the children in Sweden. This
however is a personal contact, and not via an official channel.

Thank you for your consideration.

In Peace,
Heather
