Jason -- I'm a notary. While remote notarization, where a notary witnesses the execution of the document via Zoom is permitted, electronic notarization is NOT valid under Massachusetts law. (I will not remotely notarize anything, because the recordkeeping requirements are too much of a PITA.)
If the document you supposedly had notarized was ever challenged in court, you could have a serious problem because no one could say that they actually observed your signing the document.
