In response to a non-centralized space, one thing I love about the library
is that the website says, "the Library is always open". There is lots of
needs that can be handled virtually without needing brick and mortar
building space.

A lot of people seem to be yearning for something else. A meeting space
that is not a conference room or a church. So believe it or not, there is
actually an organization in Somerville called CultureHouse, that takes
unused urban storefronts and makes comfortable public "living rooms".
These spaces are very popular, flexible and creative in design, clean and
kept people from feeling to isolated during Covid. The indoor spaces are
multi generational. Something might be fun to try out in the Lincoln
Station area as a short term patch as the seniors need something now-they
paid for the school. CultureHouse (CultureHaus?) uses grants and they are
oritginally from Copenhagen.
