Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra is holding an oboe workshop for budding oboists in Grade 2-8 with some previous musical experience. You don't need prior wind experience and you don't need to be in BYSO already. Participation is by invitation after an application process. See below.

Each student will be provided with an instrument for the length of the workshop, 1 oboe reed, and instruction materials. We encourage students in Grades 2-8 who have some musical experience to apply. A brief interview will be conducted depending on interest and four to six musicians will be invited to participate. Please note that you do not need prior experience with wind instruments in order to apply. In fact, many successful oboe workshop participants have been pianists!
