I received a flyer from the Lincoln Foundation in the mail on Saturday and
I want to bring this issue to your attention. I guess most of you received
it too. I hope you didn't throw it out! The Lincoln Foundation was
instrumental in shaping our town and developing affordable housing in
Lincoln. Those of you who have lived here for longer than I have, will be
in a better position than I am to tell that story, which is certainly a
success story! I am grateful to those who came before us and those who are
now part of the Lincoln Foundation, and I would love to hear more about
this story if anyone wants to comment on it.

There is an urgent need now to support neighbors who own affordable units
in Battle Road Farm. They have a huge assessment coming up for a sewage
treatment plant. Many owners of affordable units don't know how they will
be able to pay several thousand dollars this year and in the coming years
as well. Affordable homeownership is no longer affordable!

Let's help the Lincoln Foundation to "bridge the gap" so our neighbors can
stay in our town. You can mail your check to PO Box 341 or donate here:
