The moderators regularly get emails from people saying, "I just posted
something to the whole list by mistake, can you remove it?"

We can't.

Right now, I am typing an email. This is an email. Just like any other
email, once you send it, it's gone. You can't pull it back.

It might help to think of LincolnTalk as an email address book. We host
the address book and you send the emails using the address book. Once you
hit "send", it goes directly into people's email inboxes.

Please be careful. Please be intentional.

Some email providers allow you to recall an email... if it hasn't been
opened. I'm not sure if this will work with LincolnTalk, but you can try it.

If you want a little extra security, many email hosting services give you
an option to set up a wait-time between the time you hit the "send" button
and when the email actually sends. This gives you some seconds or a minute
to make a correction.

Yours Supportively,
Margit
