The Lincoln Fire Department has made some changes to the way people can apply
and pay for a brush burning permit. During COVID, we created more convenient,
contactless ways to apply and pay for a brush permit. We still do not have an
online payment system. However, please choose any of the following ways to
obtain a brush burning permit.

  1. Click the following link to complete the online application survey. Then
mail in a check for $5.00 to the Lincoln Fire Department. You will be added to
the active burn list and marked paid.

Regardless of how you sign up and pay, please familiarize yourself with the
rules which are the same as always and are available on the link above. The
most important rule is to call the morning you plan to burn and ask permission
to burn and give the dispatcher your address.

Thank you and remember to not leave burning brush piles unattended.

Lincoln Fire Chief
