Dearest L-S Community Members and Singers, Our annual L-S Community Sing is coming up in May. We are working to "revive" the tradition, and are happy to welcome any community members, parents, alumni, or friends who sing and wish to join us for the Rutter Gloria with Choir, soloists, brass octet and percussion!
This L-S choral tradition dates back to about 1993, spanning many singers and choral directors. Chamber Singers will be singing "The Road Home" and will invite any Chamber Singers alumni to come up and sing with us (a tradition dating back to 2012). Masks will be optional for singers. Mon. May 15 - Dress rehearsal - 7:00-8:30 pm in the L-S auditorium (might not be quite that long) Thurs. May 18 - Community Sing Concert - call for singers at 6:30 pm, concert starts at 7:30 pm. The piece - John Rutter's "Gloria". It is about 17 minutes long and we have scores and practice files available for the music and for the text (we did the piece about 7-8 years ago).
