Hello all, The Planning Board has a vacancy for an Associate Member. This role is a limited one without a big-time commitment.
21.7.1 The Planning Board, in accordance with MGL Chapter 40A, Section 9, may provide for one associate member to serve when the Planning Board has been designated as a special permit granting authority. The associate member position shall be filled by the joint appointment of the Planning Board and the Select Board. The Chairperson of the Planning Board may designate the associate member to sit on the Board for the purpose of acting on a special permit application in the case of absence, inability to act, or conflict of interest on the part of any member of the Planning Board or in the event of a vacancy on the Board. The term of the Associate Member shall be three (3) years. If anyone is interested in town planning and this position, please send me an email with your interest and a bit about your background.
