Many moons/decades ago, when we moved to Lincoln (1976) there were some/many things that caught our attention. In addition to the beautiful fields and farms, the woods and trails, the simplicity and lack of pretension… there were the cars! Most notable, in addition to the usual array of VWs and pickup trucks, were THE SAABS. The number, given the size of our population, was remarkable. As demographics changed, Saabs seemed to give way to Volvo station wagons and Mini-Vans. Suburbans replaced pickup trucks. Next, a shift to Range Rovers (although, they seemed more abundant in Weston) and later, Mini Coopers. Subarus and Rav4s, with a few Camarys followed suit. Enter, the Prius. And now, our roads seem to be shared by Teslas, Subarus and some iteration of an SUV. And, occasionally, a Saab. |
