Correction: Water Conservation Restrictions - Outdoor watering Two Days per
week, by house number. Even = Tuesday and Saturday, Odd = Wednesday and Sunday.

We received our new Charles River Watershed Registration that stated we needed
to go to 1 day per week outdoor watering starting May 1st. We are awaiting our
new Water Permit as well. I thought the new Registration represented more
strict conservation levels that were going to be implemented in our Permit as
well.

I contacted the DEP for clarification and they said we are a special case, as
we have both a Charles River Watershed Registration and a Charles River
Watershed Permit. They said the Permit supersedes the Registration. Currently,
go by our 2010 Permit and ignore the new Registration conservation levels.

Background: We are required to implement outdoor water use restrictions from
May 1st to September 30th, as we have historically violated our Water Permit
withdrawals from the Charles River Watershed. In 2022, we complied with our
0.53mgd (million gallons per day) withdrawal average and were under 10%
unaccounted for water (pending DEP review), but still exceeded the 65 gallons
per capita per day water use target.
