(I usually charge my readers for valuable information like this, but I make
exceptions for Lincolnites.)

All electric lawn mowers are intended for use on electric lawns only. Hence the
name.

Chris, hopefully you installed your electric lawn with a switch and a timer.

Turning on the lawn only when you have company who you want to impress (which
most modest Lincolnites would only do once or twice/year) will inhibit lawn
growth to a trickle.

At that rate, your electric lawn mower should last a lifetime and no
maintenance will ever be necessary. With limited use of that switch/timer, you
could either sell the mower as new(!) to a new owner years from now, or
possibly return it for a refund if you bought it at Costco.

Regards,

Steve Low

Subject: [LincolnTalk] Electric Lawnmower Maintenance

I’ve been waiting for “no mow” may to finish before trying out my new electric
lawnmower and I have a few questions.

I am used to replacing spark plugs and adjusting the carburetor at the start of
each season, but the instruction manual does not say how to do it. Can anyone
provide instructions? Also, I don’ t know what parts I need to buy for annual
maintenance.

At the end of each season we have been mixing stabilizer into the fuel. What do
I need to do to prepare my electric lawnmower for the winter?

Thanks!
