Dear LT,
Thanks to friends & neighbors who helped us find dear cat, gone missing
mid-May! About a week ago, a neighbor who’d seen our flier
posted, ‘had heard meows from source unknown, ‘did some investigating, and sent
us a picture of a cat in an empty nearby house’s window (see below) … indeed it
was Evena and we were reunited! She’s half her size but appears to be okay
otherwise — thanks to a leaky faucet and her cricket/rodent huntress abilities.
Takeaways are: never underestimate the will to survive, the grace of
concerned & compassionate neighbors, and the benefit of not always
walking/working with earbuds in!
