Also try the Y in Waltham, or Beede Center in Concord.

Hi Rob,

Codman Pool, here in Lincoln, offers youth programming. I don't have any first-hand knowledge of it, but I sure that others on the list can speak about it: https://lincolnma.myrec.com/info/default.aspx

MIT offers youth swim classes. I've been swimming there for almost 7 years, and the pool is always clean. I have taken private lessons as an adult, so you might be able to get private lessons for a child, too:
It's about a half hour drive when it's not rush hour, and there's almost always meter parking on Albany Street, which parallels the street (Vassar) where the gym is.

The Y in Burlington also has youth programs, but I can't speak to the quality - I only know it exists. https://www.gbymca.org/programs/aquatics/

I hope that's helpful!

Best,
Rachel

Can anyone recommend a place on the area for swim lessons for a 4.5 year old? Does not have to be private although we’d do that as well if it was an option.

Thanks!
