45+ years and minimal, if any problems.
I would talk to Postmaster/mistress.
It may be specific to your route.

I have only occasionally had trouble with my mail in Lincoln, over the last 20 years.  On the whole, service has been good.

Subject: Re: [LincolnTalk] Snail Mail in Lincoln

Now that we’re on the topic of Lincoln mail, I've had several letters, some with checks, not delivered at all. About 5 in all since the beginning of the year that I can be certain were sent to me and I never received. I’m sure there were more I didn’t receive but wouldn’t have been waiting for. I also routinely receive mail for random other people in Lincoln. This has been going on since I first moved here in 2003. They are so bad at delivering the mail to the right people in this town, which seems like a basic requirement for a postal service? What’s the best way to address this with the PO? I find it hard to imagine a scenario where they address such a systemic problem. I looked into renting a PO Box in Concord, where they actually deliver all the mail to addresses correctly, consistently, but it’s about $300 per year, so that’s not worth it.

Hi neighbors,

Has anyone noticed that it takes a week or more for inter-Lincoln mail to be delivered?

Doesn't that seem extraordinarily slow?
