The trial featured America's greatest hero, a good mystery involving ransom notes and voices in dark cemeteries, a crime that is every parent's worst nightmare, and a German-born defendant who fought against U. S. forces in World War I. Led by the Honorable Dennis J. Curran, retired Massachusetts Superior Court Justice. Curran is a member of the national Board of Advisors of The Lincoln Forum, a Life Member of the Surratt Society, and a Fellow of the Massachusetts Historical Society. The author of 42 book chapters and articles, he has taught at Tufts University, Roger Williams University of School of Law, and Brown University.
