Have all the speed bumps/humps/tables you want - just mark them with a color
differential and have signs alerting drivers….
No one likes a big surprise!!

OK-would all, who advocate FOR speed tables/bumps please work with the RTC and
come up with a map of suitable locations.I have asked for the in the past, in
addition for a map of where we might add more roadside paths-where we have
adequate ROW and the ability to do it.So far, I haven’t seen much maps.Maybe
they exist-if o, can the RTC and/or the PB please point us to them?It would
really help us understand the realm of the possible.

Please sign me up for "winning" a speed table or even a speed bump. I'll lobby
for one. It will be preferable to risking my life walking to the mailbox, or
down the road. To V Saleme and others who commute in town for kids, groceries,
etc, the speed deterrents will be well known to you; your car won't be damaged
if you are going the recommended speed. No one flies down Winter Street. We'll
all just add a few moments to the errands or the commute, and in doing so make
our roads much safer for walkers, bicyclists, dogs, children...

There are “speed bumps” and “speed tables”. Speed bumps are indeed noisy. Speed
tables are low and flat and thus much easier on suspensions and ears. I don’t
believe anyone is proposing speed bumps rather than speed tables.
Here is a nice description of speed tables:

Please do not be put off by the words “urban” and “city”. Formal roadway
documentation tends to distinguish between “highway” and city/urban rather than
urban and country.

Speed bumps make good sense to me.

Speed bumps are extremely noisy for those houses unfortunate enough to "win"
the speed bump placement lottery.
One strongly opposed resident's view.
