Agreed, except we need the MEDIAN to adjust for extremes. A one-time event of 50, with the rest of the year being 5 will also produce skewed numbers if you average or use mean is used. Median adjusts for outliers as the “50” would be. That is why “Maximum” is really unhelpful to understand what space need truly are.
