COMMUNITY CENTER BUILDING COMMITTEE
STATE OF THE TOWN, SEPT. 30, 2023

At the State of the Town Meeting (SOTT) on September 30, 2023, starting at
10:00 a.m., the CCBC will present a set of building concepts to Town
residents, and will provide residents with opportunities to ask questions
and share opinions. The feedback that the CCBC receives at this meeting
will help the Committee to refine the building options that it will present
at a Special Town Meeting on December 2, 2023, when residents will select a
preferred building option and budget.

This year’s SOTT will have a new format, which is described in detail on
the Town website.

In this format, the CCBC will be in the Learning Commons, running a
45-minute session four times in the course of the meeting. There will be a
presentation of four building concepts, roughly 20-minutes of a breakout
session, with discussion and questions in smaller groups, and then there
will be five minutes at the end for completion of the feedback forms. Town
residents will be asked to rank the building options, and to provide
comments on those options. All feedback will be shared with the town once
the CCBC has been able to tabulate it, following the meeting.

The CCBC encourages all Lincoln residents to attend the meeting, to learn
about the work of the CCBC, and to share their opinions about the concepts
for a new Community Center on the Hartwell Campus.
