I feel a need to chime in and suggest that the conversation about the HCA depend on the merits, rather than inferred motives.
Recently, there have been allegations that those rich single-family homeowners are just trying to keep more (affordable) housing units out of Lincoln, and are against the public good. Is it fair to assume all they are trying to fight against housing in Lincoln, as opposed to asking questions about WHERE needed housing is placed, and whether option C has real flaws? A little while back, there were allegations that those on Codman road were just trying to cash it. Again, inferring motives is potentially slanderous. I would like to suggest that we try to have a reasoned discussion to create the best outcome for us all in Lincoln, while doing our part to help the very real housing crisis in Massachusetts.
