I don't know whether this has already been discussed to death, but is there a
reason we don't have someone directing traffic to mitigate the northbound
school drop-off jam around 8:00?

This morning the line of cars extended as far as I could see (from Ballfield
Road) toward Lincoln Station all the way to the 5-way intersection, even after
dropping off our child. There was even an officer sitting in his squad car at
the 5-way intersection, and none of the other 4 ways had any backup, so it
doesn't seem to be a matter of availability?

First-world problem, I know, but it was 5 minutes to school and 20 minutes to
get back home. People coming from the south have it worse, hitting the traffic
on the way *to* school.
