Recovering from an Elder Fraud: A cyber security professional’s personal journey dealing with elder fraud, with new awareness and actionable insights to help others. IT Leader and Cyber Security Professional Mark Annati began his career as a service tech. Years later, he emerged from two successful startups, leading numerous IT teams and evolutions, holding two CISO titles, and being SVP of IT for a global company. In Jan 2024, Mark responded to his 92 year old father having his iPhone stolen. There was much to do in securing accounts and recovering from an almost catastrophic situation. Mark will share the time-line of events, actions taken, and lessons learned along the way. He will provide stats and a better understanding of the growing threat to our population and how you can protect yourself.
