Medicinal Plant WalkSunday, June 30th1:00 - 2:30pm$25/per person Join us for a guided walk around the farm with Lucia Longnecker, Lincoln resident, herbal tea maker, and graduate of the Boston School of Herbal Studies and current co-director. We'll learn how to identify common weeds as well as farm-grown herbs and flowers in their different stages of growth, learn ways to preserve their medicinal qualities, and discuss their traditional medicinal uses. Each participant will get to harvest herbs and bring home a bag of herbs to create their own herbal tea blend with what we find! Flower Fun: Bouquets & Arrangements Thursday, August 1st, 5:30-7:00pm AND Tuesday, August 20th, 5:30-7:00pm$95/ per person (includes both sessions)In this two-course series you will learn key floristry techniques needed to make hand-tied bouquets and show stopping vase arrangements using Codman grown flowers. Katherine (Floral Designer) and Annie (Codman’s Flower Farmer) will show you ways to bring nature into your home throughout the year, as well as share their favorite supplies, varieties, and vessels. In the first class Annie and Katherine will teach you one of the core skills of floristry - making a hand-tied bouquet. They’ll also talk about flower and color selection, conditioning, and design style. In the second class, bring your favorite vase from home, and Annie and Katherine will break down the process of designing in different types of vessels, including mechanics, shape, and proportion.
