Good morning, I am seeking information as much as humanly possible from this wise group of individuals on good old Lincoln talk. I have a very close friend who is very much unplugged from technology for personal choice reasons. I am seeking information related to her situation so that I can pass info along. I am inquiring about SI joint fusion. SI joint fusion has been recommended yet there has been a bit of a struggle getting a direct answer from her providers specifically related to recovery time and protecting the ability to continue to ride horses and hopefully continue to not only ride horses but eventually after a long the recovery period has potential for returning remain active eventually and returning to her DRESSAGE activities. I gather there are multiple approaches to SI joint fusion including more recently a significantly less invasive method. I would greatly appreciate information firsthand secondhand information welcome. The more information the better. I look forward to, I am sure, the wise comprehensive responses from this well-informed group of individuals. Has anyone had SI surgery with positive outcomes specific to a surgeon? Recovery time? Any equine involved individuals who have had back surgery what sort of impact did you experience post-surgery directly related to your ability to return to the saddle? Feedback related to the different approaches with a "minimally invasive “procedure being done now? Thanks in advance, Craig Sussman
