Hi there, Summer is the perfect time to explore our conservation lands! Lincoln's trail map ($10) can be purchased at the Conservation Department at Town Offices. You can also view all of Lincoln's trails through the OuterSpatial mobile app (free to download to mobile devices). Once on OuterSpatial, click "Explore" at the bottom & the program will zoom into your current location. The blue dot will show you your real time location on Lincoln's trail system! The app will use GPS to show you where you are. This works even without cell service. RiverFest Summer 2024 - Celebrating our Wild and Scenic Rivers: July 6th - 28th Summer is here! There's no better time than now to experience the Wild and Scenic Rivers in your own backyard. Enjoy over 25 free hikes, paddles, walks, and family fun during the month of July in this annual celebration of the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Wild and Scenic River. July 16th @7-9am - Birding Lincoln's Codman Conservation Land and Farm Meadow - Join Lincoln's Conservation Director, Michele Grzenda, on a 2-hour birding stroll around Codman Estates, Farm Meadow and North Codman Conservation Area. Meet 25 bird species commonly found in our neighborhoods, wetlands, and forests, and learn various field identification techniques by sight and sound. Bring binoculars if you have them; long sleeve shirt and pants (for mosquitoes). bug spray, and water. Space is limited. See the river's beautiful surroundings of nature and wildlife as the bustling daytime activity shifts to a quieter twilight setting. Learn about some of these animals and their differences in behavior such as diurnal, crepuscular, or nocturnal periods of activity. Sightings may include great blue herons, bald eagles, barred owls and racoons. Bring your own kayaks or canoes and life jacket (required), sunscreen and clothing/footwear that can get wet, bug spray and a snack and water.
