In response to neighborhood concerns, the Department of Public Works, in consultation with the Town's Roadway & Traffic and the Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committees, developed a design for an improved crosswalk at the location of the existing crosswalk on Lincoln Road at Old Town Hall exchange. The upgraded crosswalk will include a raised crosswalk table and appropriate signage. The new crosswalk should help slow traffic and create safer crossing for pedestrians and cyclists, especially for students and families who use the crossing to connect to the school campus.
