Good evening, Lincoln!

I've finally started firming up the plan for asbestos removal and utility
room upgrades that are part of our larger geothermal project. I'll be
getting a better idea of scheduling with EETI on Monday for asbestos
removal, but due to state requirements, we're looking at the 2nd or 3rd
week of October *at the earliest *for phase 1 (asbestos removal and tiling
and sealing of the utility room). I'm also unsure how long it will take
the company to pull permits, so this could potentially be October or
November depending on how schedules align. Phase 1 looks like it will take
about *5 days* to complete between all of the moving parts (water heater
and HVAC unit moved out, asbestos tile and adhesive removed with passing
air test, installation and curing of tile, reinstallation of the water
heater and - groan - HVAC if necessary). We can stay in the house during
this, as the asbestos company builds a complete containment for their
work. However, it won't be particularly fun. I remember seeing requests
for house sitters throughout the year, so I just want to put it out there
that if you need a house sitter in the October/November time frame, we
would welcome your hot water and heat! Please reach out to me. Otherwise,
we'll be torn between convincing our son that this is "glamping", or
treating him to a staycation. However...due to proximity to school and
activities, we'd rather stay in Lincoln. We have no pets and it's just the
three of us (2 adults and one 12 year old). Again, it looks like the
entire process will take 5 days (7 days if there are issues).

warmly,
Terry Kay
